Ben has more than 25 years in the Software industry, starting his career as a developer before quickly moving into progressively more senior roles running and growing software businesses in the United Kingdom and, for the past 20 years, in New Zealand.

Ben joined AMS from Orion Health in 2018 and he is passionate about people and developing teams to deliver great outcomes.   A life learner, Ben recently graduated from the University of Auckland with a Masters in Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship. He firmly believes in sustainable leadership practices, growth and the role innovation plays in sustaining value for customers over time.

Richard has spent more than 25 years in the IT industry, developing and delivering solutions both within end user organisations and as a product/solutions provider. He has delivered quality solutions and products across many domains, including manufacturing, payments, workforce management and the financial sectors.

Richard and his team strive to deliver technology solutions that are more than just ‘software systems’; the solution must be engaging, easy to use and robust enough to deliver excellent business outcomes.  Delivery of such solutions requires new level of engagement and understanding about customer needs and a real passion to deliver quality results.

Joseph joined AMS out of the University of Auckland more than 30 years ago with a BSc in computer science. Since that time he has been a part of virtually every aspect of AMS as it developed.

Coming up with logical solutions, thinking outside the square, not losing sight of the big picture, designing the processes and the approach to deliver outcomes is Joseph’s passion. He enjoys helping build a great company, one he believes has deserved global aspirations.

With 15+ years of relationship management experience, a love of connecting with people and supporting organisations to get maximum value from AMS solutions, Virginia leads sales and customer engagement with AMS. Originally from England, Virginia has always worked in the technology sector, from enterprise software products to bespoke service providers and has many years’ experience engaging with both private and public sector organisations. 

While naturally a student of the arts, she has supported her work experience with a Post Graduate Diploma in IT from the University of Auckland.  Virginia has a personal commitment to supporting her customers to a successful outcome and believes that trust and transparency are the foundation of strong relationships. 

Nikki worked with AMS products at ACC in Wellington, so when she moved to Auckland AMS offered her a casual contract to help implement systems for a new client, and (luckily for us!) she never left. She has been in many roles within AMS and enjoys working across the AMS product development teams, and directly with customers, to solve their business problems. 

AMS recognises and appreciates the individuality and skill of its employees – and there is a great deal of mutual trust within the AMS environment, which benefits the company as a whole. She says she has seen a shift in the company over the last few years: AMS is now a more focussed and driven company with many exciting times ahead, capitalising on its experiences and knowledge and investing in products to deliver benefit where most needed.

Donna has more than 35 years experience in the Life Insurance Industry, providing customer focused service.  Starting her career in Operations, she has lead teams from New Business to Claims, and was ultimately responsible for training and development across Operations teams.

Donna made the transition to technology 17 years ago, holding analysis, consulting and leadership roles at Sovereign.   Joining the AMS Insurance Team three years ago, Donna brings her knowledge and passion for the Insurance industry to deliver value driven outcomes to our Insurance customers.

Colin worked for the South African Port Operations for 15 years as a Business Development Consultant, Remuneration Manager and Human Resource Manager. He joined AMS after arriving in New Zealand 18 years ago. Colin sees AMS being a company that develops innovative solutions to meet the changing needs of complex organisations. His aim is for AMS to become the ‘sought after’ solution provider through innovation, partnership and long-term commitment to business outcomes. Colin recently transitioned from the Workforce Management team to the Life Insurance Management team, as a way to broaden his cross-industry knowledge and use his previous experience in delivering fantastic outcomes for our insurance customers.
